GONZALEZ BYASS AT WINE STAR AWARDS
González Byass, a family-owned producer of fine wines, Sherries and premium spirits, receives 2018 Wine Star Award winner for “European Winery of the Year” from Wine Enthusiast Magazine.
On Monday 28th January González Byass attended the prestigious Wine Star Awards Gala Dinner at the Eden Roc Hotel, Mimi Beach, to collect the coveted European Winery of the Year trophy. The award was accepted by Mauricio Gonzalez-Gordon, fifth generation family member and Chairman of Gonzalez Byass. Jorge Grosse, CEO Gonzalez Byass, also attended the event as did Nicolas Bertino CEO Gonzalez Byass USA and invited guests.
“This is a huge accomplishment,” says Mauricio González Gordon, “With such amazing wineries in Europe, we are so excited to win this award. González Byass strives for excellence and it is wonderful to be recognized for the hard work and dedication by one of the leading wine publications in the United States.”
5+5 stands for the five generation of the González who have led the company into 21st century, and for the next five generation who will continue a mission based on the good work done so far.
